The New Sea Animal

Today, Makayla and I were talking about sea animals while looking at pictures.

"Look," I said, "there's a shark and a dolphin and an octopus..."

"Where's the hippo?" inquired Makayla.

It took me a few moments, but then I got it. Makayla, you're too cute for your own good!

Our "Danny Boy" wishes you a happy St. Patrick's Day.

I didn't have a green outfit for him, but it gave me an excuse to pinch his cute little cheeks!

"Mr. Josh"*, in a rare appearance to those over the age of 12, will be speaking at MOPS on Tuesday. He will be sharing fun ideas to do with your children for Easter.

Come on down and bring an empty egg carton (It'll all make sense when you get there!)

The Chronicles of Momia Asks: Electronic Toys

Children's toys are wonderful. They can encourage exploration, challenge minds, teach things such as cause and effect and problem solving, and, of course, entertain.

Many of today's toys are battery operated, which brings me to my question:

Why do children's electronic toys have two volume settings- loud and louder?

My Maternity Leave is Ending!!

What? Maternity leave?

Yes, maternity leave... from the internet. I'm now able to get on every once in awhile and plan to start posting regularlyish.

I have to tell you, I'm busy with the two munchkins...but I'm loving it!

Last Minute Invite!

My sister Susan from southern California is our guest speaker. She is a serious babywearer. (She wears her baby everyday and can count on one hand the number of times she's used her stroller!) Susan will be sharing about the art of babywearing. And, it's not just for infants! She will demonstrate using young children of varying ages and weights.

Think you know the ring sling? Think again! Additionally, Susan will introduce us to other wraps and carriers.

BRING YOUR SLINGS, WRAPS, MEI TAIS, AND POUCHES IF YOU HAVE THEM!! Susan will help you carry your child correctly.
